Japan Town - Dinner with our CPE class

This is a group picture of our class, yesterday we went all together to Japan Town and had dinner. I've never eaten Japanese food before and I was quite hungry, so I just ordered two diffrent dishes... I had a noodle soup with beef, and tempura with chicken teryaki, it was delicious. And of course I couldn't resist drinking a couple of cups sake, I love this stuff!
As I had two different meals it was more expensive than usual dinners, but it was absolutely worth it. I simply recommend you trying Japanese food once! ... you don't have to order Sushi!

Back to the picture. The woman next to the girl with the orange jacket is our teacher, all other guys are students. (For all the British English speakers: "Guys" actually works for men and women, especially here in America)

This evening I'll play soccer with some guys of the school against a Swiss veterans team (at least it was announced that we'll play against such a team...) I'll probably let you hear about the game later this evening...

Weekend

I'd say it beacame almost (?)  routine that we go to Safeway at the weekend... I guess because we're running out of food every 7 days :-) This time I took my big backpack with me, but in the end we (Chris, Angelika and me) to carry 3 backpacks and 5 Safeway bags (and a crate of good ol' bud) ... i hope this will be enough to eat (and drink) for this week.
We also realized that we're probably the only ones who're taking the public transportation (MUNI) to get to the store... we saw a couple of astonished looks as we carried all our stuff into the street car, the bus... and through half post street. All in all it was quite hard (as always) but nevertheless it was a lot of fun.
In the evening we cooked tortillas (was a bit improvised, as always... but delicious) and afterwards we chilled out in the common room and played some billiards. Actually there's a tournament on Tuesday and I succeded in convincing Angelika to participate with me (the teams have to consist of a male and female player). It's going to be a lot of fun at the tournament, as we're both not too expirienced, my girlfriend didn't play more than 5 games in her life.

Today (technically it's already Monday, but I talk about Sunday) we went to the Kezar Stadium for some track and field practice (especially I). It's a really nice stadium, surrounded by trees, I have to make some photos and post them later. Actually this is the place I use to do my trainings, to my knowledge it's the nearest location from our accomodation, but it still takes some time to get there by bus/muni.

The bus drives through whole Haight St, and I saw some stores which are selling costumes for Halloween, I think I have to visit one of them, as  I still need an appropriate outfit... !

There's a lot more to write about, but I think I finally should start doing all the f***ing homework.
